Maldita Castilla is an action based game that pays homage to classics such as Ghost n' Goblins , Black Tiger, Shinobi ,Tiger Road, Rygar, Karnov, or Trojan.  it is a two dimentional action game and its mechanics and the looks are very similar to these games that were developed in the end of the 80's. 

its one of the most direct and apparent influences of this game is Ghost n' Goblins. Actually right at the start you will notice certain similarities, with zombies getting out of the ground, and the weapon of the main character, which is a javelin that you can throw as many times as you want to throw.On the other hand the game consist of some components of a platform game, and sometimes jumping from one ledge to another will be very necessary to keep advancing the stages. But you'll have to be very careful with the large amount of enemies that will come in your way to kill you and make you lose the game.

As mentioned at thestarting, graphically Maldita Castilla pays homage to the classics, so much so that in addition to having pixelated graphics, this game has some previous filter that do not go away. The soundtrack is composed by Grizor87 which fits perfectly into the action.
